Mysterium

A vengeful ghost haunts a mansion, tied there by the mysterious circumstances of its death. A group of elite psychics holds a séance to free the confused, restless spirit. Aided by only a series of intricate, baffling visions, they must piece together the murderer, location, and weapon to set the spirit free. But time is running out: at the seventh hour, the ghost will disappear, entrapped again until the next solstice!

The psychics determine a person, place, and murder weapon, but the similarities to "Clue" end there.

These cards are the "visions" the ghost grants the psychics, otherworldly and artfully detailed scenes, part spooky, part whimsical. Given 1-4 per round by whoever decides to play the "ghost", you must scan them for connections to details in the suspect cards and play your token on whichever you think is the most likely match. If all players guess their person, place, and thing in seven rounds, following separate lines of inquiry, the psychics then vote on whichever situation they believe is the closest match to the ghost's death using a final set of visions.

I've played countless board games, and Mysterium is my absolute favorite. Even people who normally opt out of game night, like my stepmom and grandma, always play this one and have a great time. Whether you love board games or you "just don't do" them, I highly recommend giving this one a go. Plus, life hack: if you make your sibling play the ghost, they'll be quiet for an hour!
